Our Story

Pastor Dennis Stewart was raised in a Christian home where his family faithfully attended church and was actively involved. He met his wife Amy during high school and they eventually married in 1991. Dennis attended the University of Central Arkansas and graduated with a degree in Occupational Therapy.  

As he and Amy began to pursue life together, Dennis realized that there was something missing, God. So in his late twenties, he was born-again and experienced the presence of God in a radical way which drastically changed his life. They became very active in their local church and participated in ministries such as youth ministry, praise and worship, jail ministry, and children’s ministry.

It was a great training ground because God would call him into the pastoral ministry and in the year 2000 the Lord told him to resign his job as a therapist and begin to study full-time to complete his preparation for that ministry. Fifteen months later, God birthed a vision in Dennis for Heart Life Family Church.
